Sophomore diver Melinda Matyas qualified for the NCAA championships after winning on the platform event at the 2011 Zone A Diving Championships. Matyas also placed sixth on the 3M. Tanner Knorr placed 17th on the 3M and narrowly missed out on the men's 1M final.
Matyas won the platform with a score of 528.35 to send her to the NCAAs for the second consecutive year, where she will be able to come on the springboard events as well. At Zones, she also competed on the 3M, placing sixth overall with a score of 531.55. On the 1M, the Budapest native took eighth with a score of 466.15.
Chelsea Glincman placed 15th on the 1M with a score of 429.15. For the men, Knorr took 17th on the 3M event with a score of 561.00. On the 1M, Knorr posted a 255.55 in the preliminary round.
