Our Game Magazine: National Poll | Players to Watch

BOSTON - After the Boston University women's soccer team earned a 1-1 draw against No. 4 BC and a 2-0 victory over Northeastern, Our Game Magazine ranked the Terriers 23rd in the nation. The publication, which specializes in covering women's soccer, also named senior defender Lina Cords and senior midfielder Jessica Luscinski as two of this week's "Players to Watch".

Luscinski, the reigning America East and SoccerSavings.com/New England Soccer News Player of the Week, tallied a goal against the Eagles and Huskies off free kicks just outside the box. She currently ranks seventh all-time at BU in points with 60.

A First Team All-Conference and Third Team All-Region honoree, Cords played a key role in the backline, helping the Terriers hold BC to just one goal and shutting down Northeastern's CAA Preseason Player of the Year, Veronica Napoli. The Huskies only managed two shot attempts the entire contest.

Receiving votes in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll as well, the Terriers (1-0-1) will host two opponents this weekend, starting with the Missouri Valley Conference's Illinois State on Friday (Aug. 26) at 7 p.m. and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's Loyola (Md.) on Sunday (Aug. 28) at 1 p.m.
