BOSTON – Closing out the month of September, the Boston University women's soccer program hosts Loyola Maryland on Saturday (Sept. 27). Opening kick from Nickerson Field is set for 1 p.m.
 
BU (3-4-2, 0-1-0 PL) seeks its first Patriot League win in 2025 while halting its five-game winless streak. The Terriers are 1-1-1 at home this season, most recently playing Bryant to a scoreless draw back on Sept. 14.
 
Loyola Maryland (3-2-4, 0-0-1 PL) looks to remain unbeaten in road games this year, securing a win over William & Mary while tying FAU, Hofstra and George Washington.
 
Saturday's match airs on ESPN+ at the top of the hour, with Katie Bennert, Zach Austin and Claire Chen on the call. • BU last played on Sept. 20, dropping its Patriot League opener at Navy, 3-1.
• Sophomore Olivia Avellar leveled the contest in the 58th minute with her first goal of the season before the Mids tacked on two goals in the 63rd and 71st minutes.
• Avellar became the seventh different Terrier to find the back of the net this season. She is tied for fourth on the team with three points in 2025.
• The Terriers have not lost back-to-back conference games since 2019.

• Saturday marks the 16th all-time meeting between BU and Loyola Maryland in a series that began in 2009.
