2013-14 Roster: HTML | PDF
BOSTON -
An influx of talent from Massachusetts and Connecticut will join the Boston University men's ice hockey team for the 2013-14 season, as first-year head coach David Quinn has announced this year's roster, which includes a nine-member Class of 2017 and a transfer. The group of 10 newcomers is comprised of six forwards and four defensemen.
Five seniors, two juniors and eight sophomores return from last year's squad, which reached the Hockey East championship game. In addition to the New England recruits, which include three players who were selected in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft, the Terriers are pleased to welcome a walk-on forward from Toronto to create a 25-man roster.
"I'm excited to officially announce our roster and start getting ready for what should be an exciting season," said Quinn, who was named the 11th coach in program history on March 26. "There are a number of freshmen who will have the chance to contribute right away and each player here at BU will be given the opportunity to do what he does best."
The team returned to campus earlier this month and will begin on-ice workouts this week. BU opens the 2013-14 schedule with a home exhibition against St. Francis Xavier on Saturday, Oct. 5.
