CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -
After helping the No. 17 Boston University field hockey team claim its first Patriot League regular-season title, three Terriers have earned Corvais Patriot League weekly honors.
Senior co-captain Rachel Coll was named PL Defensive Player of the Week for the third time in the past four weeks while junior Cammy Jensen and freshman Kara Enoch were named Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
The Terriers finished the conference schedule with a perfect 6-0 record following a 6-0 home victory on Senior Day against Bucknell on Saturday. By claiming the regular-season title, BU will now host the Patriot League tournament on Nov. 6-7.
Coll stood out on both ends of the field against the Bison, recording the first two-goal effort of her career while leading a dominant defense that limited Bucknell to one shot on goal and just three shots overall.
She scored off rebounds in the 32nd and 52nd minutes to extend BU's lead and raise her season point total to 15 (5g, 5a).
Jensen stopped the only shot she faced and played the first 65:46 in goal to earn Corvias PL Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the third time this year. She lowered her league-leading goals against average to 1.77 for the season and finished with a 0.85 GAA in BU's six PL contests. Freshman Kathleen Keegan played the final 4:14 to complete the shared shutout.
Enoch put BU up 3-0 over Bucknell with an unassisted goal in the 28th minute. It was her second goal of the season to go with three assists, helping her earn the Corvias PL Rookie of the Week award for the first time.
The Terriers will return to action on Wednesday (Oct. 28) when they make the short trip to Harvard for a 6 p.m. contest.
