HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Boston University dominated possession throughout the entire game but struggled to score throughout the first half, ultimately waiting until the final minute of the period to break a scoreless outing.
  • Amanda Cassera was the one to do it, as she netted the eventual game winner with just one minute to play in the first half.
  • The goal set the Terrier offense in motion, as BU scored four more in the second half to secure the victory. Kara Enoch started things off when she batted in the rebound off of a shot on target by Bridget Egan in the 46th minute.
  • Just six minutes later Grace Boston got on the board when she received a pass from Taylor Blood, went around the Lehigh goalie, who came out of the cage to meet her, and reversed-sticked the ball to the boards for the third goal of the day.
  • Cassera made it a two-goal day with a rebounded shot in front of the net before Madeline McClain made it a five-goal lead less than four minutes later.
  • The Terriers held the Mountain Hawks shot-less until the final 30 seconds of the game, when Lehigh had an attempt blocked off of the first Mountain Hawk corner of the day.
GAME NOTES
  • The Terriers dominated possession, outshooting Lehigh, 24-1 including 12-0 on goal. The Mountain Hawk defense combined for seven saves on the day, which included a stop by a field player while Cammy Jensen didn't get a single ball in her direction.
  • Jensen and sophomore Kathleen Keegan, who played the final 5:05, posted their third combined shutout of the season.
  • BU also had the upper-hand on free chances, as the Terriers were awarded 10 penalty corners while Lehigh had just one in the final minute of play.
