HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Colgate grabbed its first lead at 25:35 when Freddy Jonsson headed a long pass from Oliver Harris inside the box a few yards up to Zach Pagani, who slid the ball inside the right post past a diving senior Matt Gilbert.
  • McDonnell tied the game 12 minutes later after freshman Matt McDonnell headed in a cross from sophomore Adam Wright, who was set up on the left side by junior Anthony Viteri.
  • The BU defense was unable to clear a long Colgate pass inside the box, and Pagani made the Terriers pay at 61:58 with his second score by eventually collecting the bouncing ball and getting through a couple of defenders to set up his hard shot toward the upper right corner for the 2-1 advantage.
  • The Raiders' keeper Ricky Brown made his lone save in the 64th minute when he dove to his right stop a hard shot from McDonnell, who collected a bouncing failed clear attempt from 12 yards out.
