HOW IT HAPPENED
- Rachel Blauner made a defensive save early in the first half to keep the Sun Devils at bay. A soft shot eluded Bridget Conway, but Blauner was there to make the stop.
- ASU's Olivia Hernandez sent a cross that was deflected off a BU player's foot where Christina Edwards was able to play it with a shot to the top left corner, just past Conway's reach, in the 40th minute.
- The Sun Devils scored again just under three minutes later when Edwards pushed the ball back to Adriana Orozco, who sent it to Conway's far side to take a 2-0 lead in the closing minutes of the first half.
- The Terriers cut the lead to 2-1 when Chelsea Churchill's shot was blocked but continued toward the net where McKenna Doyle was able to collect it for a tip in with just over 34 minutes left in regulation.
