HOW IT HAPPENED

  • After BU forced a turnover near midfield, sophomore Magnus Benediktsson received a pass and played the ball up to senior Felix De Bona, who dribbled several yards into the box before pulling up and rifling a low shot toward the far post in the 19th minute for the early 1-0 lead.
  • Four minutes following Northeastern's first red card, the Terriers struck again at 31:22 when Benediktsson found a streaking junior Anthony Viteri up the middle for a hard 12-yard shot and 2-0 lead.
  • The Huskies received a second red card less than a minute later and would end the game with just five shot attempts, none on goal.
  • BU added one more score at 55:24 on freshman Matt McDonnell's header off a cross from senior Mark Wadid.
