The Boston University women's basketball team returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Bucknell at Case Gym. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Â
BU (6-12, 4-3 PL) will look to rebound following a 96-87 double-overtime loss at Colgate on Wednesday and halt Bucknell's (15-3, 7-0 PL) 10-game win streak.
The Terriers, as well as teams across the country, have taken part in the "We Back Pat" initiative to support The Pat Summitt Foundation, which raises awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer's disease. The team will be collecting donations at the door, but fans can donate in advance at www.patsummitt.org.
In addition, the team will host a pre-game scrimmage with former Terriers at 12 p.m. as part of the squad's first Alumni Day of the season. Alumni are also invited to a post-game reception. To RSVP and for more information, email assistant coach Jenny Thigpin (thigpin@bu.edu).
