EVANSTON, Ill. -Â The No. 24 Boston University field hockey team starts a four-game road stretch with a weekend trip to Chicagoland as the Terriers will visit Northwestern to take on Miami and the ninth-ranked Wildcats.

BU will face the RedHawks on Saturday (Sept. 8) at noon ET before meeting Northwestern on Sunday (Sept. 9) at 1 p.m. ET.

The Terriers (2-2) are looking to rebound from a pair of home losses to ranked teams last weekend, most recently a 4-2 setback against then-No. 24 Ohio State on Monday.

Miami and Northwestern faced off on Friday with the Wildcats posting a 4-2 victory.

The RedHawks (3-3) headed to the west coast last weekend and posted wins at Pacific and UC Davis before falling at California, 1-0 on Sunday. Miami opened the year at home with a win over Saint Francis followed by a loss to then-No. 9 Delaware.

Senior Paula Portugal, the reigning MAC Player of the Year, leads Miami in points with 12 on five goals and two assists. Sophomore Lexie Nugent has added three goals while five others have one goal apiece.

Senior Maddie Passarella has played every minute in goal thus far this season for the RedHawks and sports a 1.67 goals-against average along with a .655 save percentage.

BU is a perfect 4-0 in its previous four meetings with the RedHawks, including a 3-1 road victory last season.

Northwestern (4-2) jumped three spots to No. 9 in this week's NFHCA poll following a double-overtime win over No. 13 Boston College. The Wildcats earned a 4-2 road win against Kent State on Tuesday before topping the RedHawks on Friday.

Senior Puck Pentenga has team highs in points (14) and goals (5) while junior Kirsten Mansfield has tallied 10 points on a pair of goals and a squad-best six assists.

Redshirt junior Annie Kalfas and sophomore Florien Marcussen have shared time in goal for the Wildcats, combining for a 2.52 goals-against average and a .680 save percentage.

The Terriers and Wildcats have met 12 times with BU claiming three wins including a 2-1 triumph in their most recent meeting in the 2016 season opener at UNH.

BU will look to get back above .500 after opening its home schedule with two losses for the first time since 1991.
