BOSTON - The Boston University field hockey team will kick off a two-game home weekend with its Senior Day on Saturday against league rival American before hosting No. 8 Princeton on Sunday.

Livy Golini will be honored before Saturday's contest, which starts at noon. The Princeton contest on Sunday begins at 1 p.m
The Terriers (4-8, 1-2 PL) will look to get back in the league race against an American squad that is 8-4 overall and a perfect 3-0 in PL play. The Eagles bring a five-game winning streak into Saturday's rematch of the 2018 league title game.
Lafayette sits at the top of the league standings at 4-0 following its win at Lehigh on Friday. American also remains undefeated while Bucknell (2-1) and Lafayette (2-2) rank third and fourth, respectively.
Princeton (8-4) also has a five-game win streak entering the weekend and will visit Brown on Saturday before heading to Boston. The Tigers' best wins this season have come against Duke, Wake Forest and Delaware.
American is led offensively by junior Noon Coenen, who ranks second among PL players in both points (24) and goals (9) and its tied for the lead in assists with six. Sophomore Hannah Moser (4g) and senior Jette Dieckmann (3g, 2a) have added eight points apiece.
Freshman Fiona Minter has started 11 of the Eagles' 12 games in goal this season and sports a 1.50 goals-against average and a .553 save percentage.
The Tigers have four players with at least seven goals this season and that group is led by junior Clara Roth, who has 24 points on eight tallies and eight assists. Sophomore Hannah Davey has 18 points (7g, 4a) and freshman Sammy Popper (7g, 3a) have combined for 35 points.
In the Princeton cage, senior Grace Baylis has been the starter in all 12 contests and has a 2.15 goals-against average and a .583 save percentage.
Junior
Ailsa Connolly continues to lead the Terriers in both goals (6) and assists (4) while three newcomers - freshmen
Jodie Conolly (4g, 3a) and
Ellie McIntyre (4g, 1a) and junior transfer
Liz Ryan (3g, 1a) - have been key members of the offense with a combined 27 points.
The Terriers are 12-3 all-time against American with victories in eight of the past nine meetings. BU and Princeton have met 14 times with the Tigers coming out on top on 13 occasions.
