BOSTON - After a pair of convincing victories over Holy Cross to start the season, the Boston University women's basketball team will head to Hamilton, N.Y. for its first true road trip of the season. The Terriers will clash with the Raiders on Saturday and Sunday, with both games scheduled to tip at 1 p.m.

BU took care of Holy Cross earlier this week, opening the season with a 76-54 win in Boston before finishing the sweep in Worcester with a 72-56 victory. With the wins, BU is off to its first 2-0 start since the 2008-09 season. The 2008-09 team went 16-0 in America East games and set the program record with 25 wins that season.

Sydney Johnson was stellar in a season opener once again, netting a game-high 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting, and recorded three assists and three steals apiece. Katie Nelson torched Holy Cross with an average of 18.5 points per game over the series, and also handed out 5.5 assists per contest. Nelson is just 17 points away from becoming the 24th Terrier to reach the 1,000-career points milestone. As a team, BU currently holds the best field goal percentage (.509) and 3-point field goal percentage (.419) in the Patriot League.

Colgate split its opening series with Army in West Point, winning its opener 87-76, and dropped the rubber match, 72-53. Head coach Bill Cleary, now in his fifth season at the helm, has guided Colgate's turnaround as the Raiders posted their first winning season since the 2003-04 campaign with an 19-11 overall mark last year. Senior Keelah Dixon went for 30 points in the opener and is currently leading the league with 22.5 points per game.
