TERRIER TIDBITS
  • Led by second-year head coach Kevin Nylen, BU is returning six of the eight Terriers who tabulated at least one point during the shortened, four-game spring campaign.
  • Named an All-Patriot League Second Team honoree, junior Ronaldo Marshall led the entire conference in points per game (2.00) after tabulating three goals and two assists, while fellow All-PL Second Team member and sophomore Andrew Rent recorded two goals and two assists.
  • Sophomore Eitan Rosen was the third Terrier to earn two assists, as he tied both junior Ryan Lee (1G) and sophomore Aidan Holmes (1G) at two points apiece.
  • BU welcomes eight newcomers, including the WAC Spring Tournament MVP Quinn Matulis from Air Force and Puerto Rico National Team member Daniel Rosario.
  • The Terriers have four goalkeepers this season with junior FIU transfer Francesco Montali, senior Michael Stone, sophomore Andrew Wike and junior Liam Cullen. Stone posted a 0.857 save percentage this past spring that featured a 3-0 combined shutout win at Colgate with Wike.
  • BU will be seeking its first win over a ranked opponent since defeating then-No. 22 Navy at home in 2019, 1-0 (2OT), and first win over a ranked non-conference opponent since beating No. 25 Dartmouth on the road in 2014.
SCOUTING #20 NEW HAMPSHIRE
  • The Wildcats went 8-1-1 in the spring while claiming their third straight America East championship and fourth consecutive NCAA berth.
  • UNH posted 2-0 wins over Hartford and Vermont to reach the NCAAs and was eliminated by then-No. 24 Kentucky, 2-0.
  • Forward Victor Menudier is the top returning scorer with 14 points off six goals and two assists.
  • Both forward Paul Mayer (5G, 2A) and defender Bridger Hansen earned All-America honors in the spring.
  • UNH will feature a new starting goalkeeper following the graduation of Alejandro Robles, who had a 0.813 save percentage and 0.61 goals against average. Clay Courtmanche allowed two goals in 45 minutes against Northeastern last spring and is joined by San Francisco State graduate Peter Swinkels, who combined for 17 shutouts in 42 appearances.
THE SERIES
  • BU is 23-21-9 all-time in a series that dates back to 1966.
  • The Wildcats won the previous matchup, 1-0, at home in 2019 with Stone posting 10 saves.
  • UNH is making its first trek to Nickerson Field since the Terriers claimed a 3-0 win in 2011 when they were both members of the America East.
UP NEXT
  • BU will make the short trek to Boston College on Monday (Aug. 30) for a 5:30 p.m. start on the ACC Network.
