HOW IT HAPPENED
- The home team started off strong and scored goals just 35 seconds apart in the opening quarter to jump out to a 2-0 lead.
- To open the scoring, the Eagles converted on the last of three consecutive corners as Fusine Govaert pounced on a rebound and found Sarah Johnson for a tally at the 6:36 mark.
- BC quickly earned another corner and Govaert made it a 2-0 contest with a blast off a pass from Olivia Hahn.
- BU's first two corners came towards of the end of the opening half and the latter produced a goal that cut the BC lead in half.
- A shot by Anderson from the top of the circle was redirected in by Crowley at 24:08 for the junior's first goal since her freshman year.
- After halftime, the Terriers looked primed for an equalizer and got the goal they were looking for with exactly three minutes left in the third quarter.
- A corner play was set up for Anderson and after her initial shot was saved, she followed it up and sent the ball home for her team-leading third goal of the season.
- The Eagles would quickly regain the lead, however, as Govaert notched her second goal of the contest off a corner with just 14 seconds left in the third.
- That would prove to be the game winner as the Terriers mustered just one shot in the final quarter despite getting six more saves from Kelly to keep it a one-goal game.
