FAIRLEE, Vt. – Concluding its cup schedule, the No. 14 Boston University men's rowing team raced both No. 5 Dartmouth and No. 6 Syracuse on Lake Morey Sunday morning.
Coming off Saturday's Jablonic Cup win over No. 12 Wisconsin, the Terriers' varsity eight boat coxed by
William Mulhall and stroked by
Paul Seiters posted a time of 5:54.5 to finish third behind the Big Green (5:46.4) and the Orange (5:51.6). With the result, Dartmouth reclaimed the Bill Cup, while Syracuse earned back the Conlan Cup.
BU's second varsity eight boat coxed by
Matt Murphy and stroked by
Bowen de Gouw took second at 5:57.5 to defeat Syracuse by three seconds. Dartmouth won both the 2V8 and 3V8 races for the sweep.
The Terriers will next compete at the Eastern Sprints on Sunday, May 15, at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts.
