Club 4+ Bronze Highlights Men’s Rowing’s First Day At Head Of The Charles

October 21, 2023

BOSTON – The Boston University men's rowing entry in the Club 4+ at the 58th Head of the Charles Regatta placed third as BU opened its slate on Saturday (Oct. 21).

The crew, coxed by Hannah Noguchi and stroked by Filippo Mattia de Marsanich, completed the course in 16:20.281. That performance was behind only Dartmouth and Purdue, and ahead of La Salle and Harvard's top boats. BU reached the podium in the Club 4+ for the first time since 2019, and the fifth-straight time placing a boat in the event.

Overall, the Terriers had three crews with student-athletes hit the water for Saturday's racing. The Club 8+ "A" boat, coxed by Emily Slawin and stroked by Dylan Fagiani, crossed the finish in a time of 14:31.495, good for fifth place ahead of Northeastern's and Georgetown's "A" boats. The "B" crew, coxed by Luke Stroh and stroked by Seamus Dallman, was ninth in 14:41.792.

BU alumni were featured in two crews in the morning sessions. The Senior Master Eights were 25th with a time of 17:50.671, while the Alumni Eights were eighth in 15:02.186.
