BOSTON – Wrapping up a three-game homestand, the Boston University men's soccer team will host defending Patriot League champion Navy on Saturday with first touch set for 1 p.m.

The match will be the first of a Soc'toberFest doubleheader at Nickerson Field with the women hosting Lafayette at 4 p.m. Fans can enjoy a cash bar, free food, including cider donuts, wings and sliders, a plastic stein giveaway and more. Gates open at 12 p.m., and admission is free for all fans.

Both BU and Navy are entering the contest on an identical five-game unbeaten streak (3-0-2).

TERRIER TIDBITS

• The Terriers are unbeaten at home this season with a 4-0-1 mark following last Saturday's 0-0 draw against Colgate in which BU posted a 16-4 advantage in shots.
• BU is currently tied atop the PL standings at 10 points with Loyola Maryland.
• Senior Francesco Montali recorded his second consecutive shutout against the Raiders following a 3-0 win over Holy Cross. He currently owns a .708 save percentage and 0.78 goals against average.
• Senior Eitan Rosen leads the Terriers with four goals and nine points, while graduate student Quinn Matulis owns seven points (3g,1a). Graduate student Colin Innes is third at six points (1g,4a).
• BU has scored multiple goals in six contests and has been shut out twice this year.
• The Terriers own a slight advantage in shots per game, 9.9-9.4, despite opponents posting a 53-38 lead in corner kicks.

SCOUTING NAVY

• Navy is 1-2-2 on the road this season following a pair of draws against UMBC (4-4) and Loyola (1-1) and a victory at Marist (1-0).
• The Midshipmen have yet to drop a PL game, posting victories vs. Lehigh (2-0) and Bucknell (1-0).
• David Jackson leads Navy with 19 points off seven goals and five assists, while Andrew Schug owns 10 points off five goals.
• Pierce Holbrook has started all 11 contests, posting a 1.49 goals against average and .686 save percentage. 
• Navy owns a 12.9-12.3 shots-per-game advantage, while edging opponents 63-53 in corners.

• The Terriers are 6-2-2 all-time against Navy in a series dating back to 2013. 
• BU is on a four-game unbeaten streak (2-0-2) with a 3-1 edge in goals.
• Both contests last year ended in a draw with a 1-1 tie in Annapolis, Maryland, and then a 0-0 tie at Nickerson Field during the Patriot League semifinals.
• Navy advanced to the PL Final with a 9-8 score off penalty kicks.

• The Terriers will take a break from conference play in a crosstown matchup at Harvard on Tuesday (Oct. 10) with a 7 p.m. start time.
