BOSTON – With just three more home games remaining in the regular season, the Boston University women's basketball program welcomes Bucknell to Case Gym on Wednesday, Feb. 12. Opening tip is set for 6 p.m.
BU (8-14, 2-9 PL) is set to play its third game at The Roof in the last four games in addition to its fourth consecutive game in the Commonwealth. The Terriers are shooting nearly 42 percent from the field this year in home contests.
Bucknell (12-10, 7-4 PL) enters Wednesday's matchup in a three-way tie with Navy and Colgate for fourth place in the Patriot League standings. The Bison are one game behind Holy Cross and Army West Point for second place.
The game serves as BU's Play4Kay contest. BU will wear special warmup shirts and stage a team photo before the game in partnership with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Wednesday's game airs on ESPN+ with Brian Maurer (COM'07), Sophia Azzano and Jack Hughes on the call. GoTerriers.com will provide live statistics and an audio-only broadcast, while the Patriot League will supply an international stream.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers sustained a 60-47 loss to Holy Cross on Feb. 8 in Worcester, Mass.
- BU sported a four-point lead midway through the second quarter, but the Crusaders ended the first half on a 12-2 run and did not trail from that point.
- Freshman Allison Schwertner led the team with 10 points and eight rebounds.
- Sophomore Inés Monteagudo drained all three of her three-pointers in the first half.
- Schwertner leads BU this year with eight games as the team leader in rebounding. She is second behind senior Alex Giannaros with seven games as the Terriers' leading scorer.
- Monteagudo has improved her three-point percentage by 85 points from her freshman campaign while already hitting a personal-best 22 three-pointers on the year, the latter ranking behind Giannaros and classmate Audrey Ericksen for third on the team.

- At Case Gym during 2024-25, eight Terriers have hit 40 percent or more of their shots. Ericksen paces the squad with a 54.5 percent clip.
SCOUTING BUCKNELL
- The Bison have won four of their last five games, most recently defeating Army West Point at home, 75-65.
- Bucknell is just 4-7 on the road this season, though it won its last road contest on Jan. 29 at Loyola Maryland, 54-49.
- Five-time Patriot League Player of the Week Ashley Sofilkanich leads Bucknell and the Patriot League with 20.5 points per game while also collecting nine rebounds per game.
- During conference play, Reese Zemitis has averaged 10.5 points and 2.4 three-pointers per game.
- Sofilkanich, Zemitis and Isabella King all rank in the conference's top five of minutes per Patriot League game.
SERIES HISTORY
- Wednesday marks the 22nd all-time meeting between BU and Bucknell in a series that began in 2014.
- The Bison sport a 14-7 edge in the rivalry and have won three in a row.
- At home, the Terriers are 4-6 against the Bison, though Bucknell won the last matchup at Case Gym back on Feb. 10, 2024, 71-60.
