BOSTON – Continuing a three-game road trip, the Boston University men's soccer team will return to Patriot League play with a visit to No. 24 and defending Patriot League tournament champion Bucknell on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The Terriers most recently dropped a 2-1 decision on Tuesday at Boston College, while the Bison rallied from a 2-1 deficit to post a 4-2 victory at Saint Francis (Pa.). 

TERRIER TIDBITS

• BU is 2-3 on the road compared to the 2-0 home record with wins at New Hampshire (1-0) and Charleston (5-1).
• In PL action, the Terriers rebounded from a 1-0 loss at Army West Point two weeks ago with a 1-0 victory vs. Navy last Saturday.
• During the matchup at BC, freshman Anthony Harper became the eighth Terrier to find the back of the net, as junior Lapo Romieri grabbed the team lead in points at six total thanks to his second assist.
• Junior Andrea Di Blasio is second on the team at five points (2g,1a) with a team-high 11 shot attempts, including seven on goal. 
• Junior William Clavier has started the last two games at net, posting a .714 save percentage and 1.00 goals against average, while senior Ben Alexander has earned a .708 save percentage and 1.40 GAA.
• Opponents are averaging 1.3 more shots per game with a 38-30 advantage in corner kicks.

SCOUTING BUCKNELL

• Riding a four-game unbeaten streak (3-0-1), the Bison are 2-0 at home with a 3-2 victory vs. St. Bonaventure and 4-2 victory over Old Dominion.
• Bucknell opened the conference slate with 2-0 win at Lafayette and 0-0 draw at Colgate.
• Nationally ranked by the United Soccer Coaches organization, Bucknell started the year with a 2-1 win at then-No. 23 Hofstra and followed up with a 3-2 loss at No. 22 George Mason. 
• All five Bison to have scored this fall have found the back of the net multiple times with Jack Lucas owning a team-high four goals and nine points (4g,1a). Cade Whitmire leads Bucknell at three assists.
• Freddie Lapworth has played every minute at net, posting a .684 save percentage and 1.50 GAA.
• The Bison are averaging 2.4 more shots per game despite opponents owning 41-34 advantage in corner kicks.

SERIES HISTORY

• BU leads the all-time series, 4-3-6, thanks to an active three-game win streak.
• The Terriers won at home last year, 1-0, thanks to a 71st minute goal by Di Blasio and Andrew Wike's ('25) three saves.
• BU has earned a shutout in each of the last four meetings, keeping the Bison off the scoreboard during a stretch of 383 minutes played.
• In 2023, the Terriers went to Lewisburg to post a 1-0 win and improve to 1-1-4 all-time on the road.
