BOSTON – The Boston University women's soccer program ignites its 32nd varsity campaign on Thursday, Aug. 13, welcoming local rival Northeastern to Nickerson Field. Opening kick is set for 6 p.m.
BU comes off a 2025 season where it captured its sixth Patriot League regular season championship, going 11-5-3 on the year. The Terriers garnered seven All-Patriot League selections and advanced to their eighth Patriot League championship game in 12 seasons as a league member.
Northeastern seeks to improve off a 3-7-6 performance last year, going 2-4-3 against Coastal opponents. The Huskies retain both of their All-CAA honorees in Eliza Teplow and Ava Gialanella.

- BU retains 20 letterwinners from a season ago while welcoming six newcomers.
- Among that contingent is the reigning Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year, Helene Tyburczy, as well as All-Patriot League honorees Olivia Avellar and Bridget Carr.
- Overall, seven Terriers who started at least 10 games in 2025 are back in the fold.
- The Terriers graduated six seniors.
