AS A SENIOR IN 2006-07
Indoor: Helped BU capture its second consecutive America East Indoor Championship, by placing third in both the 3000 meters and 5000 meters, with times of 9:59.17 and 17:38.80, respectively... At the New England Championships, placed sixth in the mile run with a time of 4:58.73.
AS A JUNIOR IN 2005-06
Indoor: Helped BU win its home opener, placing second in her section of the 1000 meters with a time of 3 minutes, 00.59 seconds... Took home first place in the 1000 meters on Feb. 6, with a time of 2:57.69... During BU's America East conference win, placed second in the 1000 (2:55.10).
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2004-05
Indoor: Did not compete due to injury.
Outdoor: At the Brown Invitational, ran the 1500 meters in 4:57.6... During the America East Championships, competed in the 1500 with a time 4:56.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2003-04
At the Terriers' quad meet on Jan. 20, placed fifth in the mile with a time of 5:15.94 before an injury forced her out of competition during the outdoor season as well.
BEFORE BOSTON UNIVERSITY
Attended the Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute in 2003... Named the captain of her cross country team her junior and senior years... As a senior, was the cross country Scarborough champion... Finished sixth at the Ontario High School Championship and fourth at the Ontario Club Championships... As a junior, placed seventh at the Ontario Championships in the 1500 and finished sixth in the 800... Was a member of the Silver Medalist Team at the Ontario Championships... During her freshman and sophomore years, was the Scarborough champion in the 800, 1500 and the 3000... Finished second at the Scarborough Cross-Country Championships, ninth at the Ontario Cross Country Championship and placed first at the Canadian High School Cross Country Championships... Finished eighth in the Ontario for the 1500 and 3000 meter events her freshman year and was also the Scarborough Cross Country Individual Champion.
PERSONAL
Daughter of Angus and Joan Wighton... Enrolled in the University's College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences... Born Febr. 13, 1984... Was a two-time All-Ontario Bronze Medalist in pair figure skating and was a singles bronze medalist in 2001.
