Reece Eddy joined the Boston University men's lacrosse team as a junior transfer in 2019 and quickly established himself as one of the top long-stick midfielders in the Patriot League. This past season, he was named an Inside Lacrosse All-American after he finished second in the country in caused turnovers per game (2.67) and tied for third in the NCAA with 16 caused turnovers. Eddy averaged 5.17 ground balls per game, which ranked second among NCAA defenders, and finished the year with 31 ground balls. He had at least two ground balls and at least one caused turnover in all six games.

One of four Terrier captains, Eddy is the country's active career leader with 95 caused turnovers and is second all-time among active NCAA defenders with 238 ground balls. He holds the single-season program record for caused turnovers after he forced 34 giveaways in 2019. Nearly 43% of his total ground balls came while he was a Terrier.

"Reece was a wonderful addition to our program for the last two years," head coach Ryan Polley said. "He proved to be one of the best LSMs in the country and certainly deserved to be named an All-American this year. I'm excited to see Reece excel at the next level."

In addition to his strong play on the field, Eddy excelled in the classroom, sporting a 3.31 grade-point average in the College of Arts and Sciences. He will graduate with a degree in economics.
