After defeating Northeastern to win the Council Cup, the  members of the women’s rowing team’s varsity eight boat have been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athletes of the Week.

Made up of senior Emma Quirk, sophomore Samantha Fischer, sophomore Sophie Winbush, freshman Megan Hancock, junior Shannon McGurty, sophomore Maia Adley, freshman Megan Mastrorilli, sophomore Lexi Wright and junior Julia White, the V8 won its first Council Cup since 2013, defeating five-time defending CAA champion Northeastern. BU finished with a time of 6:51.89, well ahead of the Huskies (6:55.22).
