After helping Boston University sweep Northeastern in the Hockey East quarterfinals with a pair of come-from-behind wins, sophomore Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson of the men’s ice hockey team has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Forsbacka Karlsson had a hand in all three goals in Saturday’s 3-2 win, scoring the Terriers’ first goal before assisting on two in the third, including freshman Chad Krys' game-winner with 24.9 seconds left in regulation. He excelled on both ends of the ice, holding Northeastern’s potent offense in check while winning 32 faceoffs and blocking four shots over the two games.

A native of Stockholm, Forsbacka Karlsson ranks third on the team in points with 31 on 13 goals and 18 assists.
