Women's Tennis Courts Winning Streak

Boston (March 24) - The Boston University Women's Tennis team notched a pair of victories over Old Dominion University and Brown University earlier this week (March 19 and 21) to run its match winning streak to five. The team last lost on March 6 to Florida International, an 8-1 decision.

On Sunday, March 19 versus Old Dominion, senior Selin Nassi (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) defeated Ana Radeljevic 6-3, 6-2 at first singles to help pace the Terriers to a 4-3 win. Senior Chrissy Cerretani (Reading, MA) won at fifth singles and freshman Alana Marcu (Leonia, NJ) won at sixth singles for the Terriers, who picked up a deciding point by winning two of three doubles matches.

The Terriers traveled to Brown on Tuesday, March 21 where they dealt the Bears a convincing 9-0 loss. Sophomore Christina Causeway (Wilson, NC) defeated Irene Adsuar, 6-4, 6-1 at second singles, junior Carrie Rose (Bloomfield Hills, MI) defeated Caroline Casey, 6-4, 6-2 at fourth singles and Cerretani topped Candace Garcia, 6-0, 6-2 at fifth singles to lead B.U.

The Terriers will look to make it six straight victories this Saturday (March 25) when they travel down to Providence to take on the Friars at 12 p.m.
