Women's Tennis Sweeps Columbia, 7-0

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Earning a third victory over an Ivy League school, the Boston University women's tennis team swept Columbia, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center. Winning every single game, the Terriers improve to 7-1, while the Lions fall to 3-5.

In singles action, three Terriers had clean 6-0 set victories, with Stefanie Nunic giving up the fewest games at No. 2 during a 6-1, 6-0 win over Nicole Stanziola. Elizabeth Corrao defeated Natalia Christenson, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 5, while Yana Sadovskaya (BU) beat Linnae Goswami, 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 6 contest.

Earlier, the Terriers won 24 of 30 games during the three doubles contests to earn the point en route to the sweep.

BU has a week off before traveling to Boca Raton, Fla. to face James Madison on Monday, March 9. The Terriers will be in South Florida for the entire week.
