PROVIDENCE, R.I. -
The Boston University women's tennis team continued the fall season this past weekend at the three-day Brown Invitational, with sophomore Stefanie Nunic leading the way by capturing the Flight 'A' singles title. The doubles team of sophomores Petra Santini and Monika Mical won the Flight 'B' title.
Teams participating in the event included Auburn, Boston College, Brown and Rutgers.
Nunic won four singles matches en route to the title and also pulled out two doubles victories with freshman Jessica Linero.
On the first day of competition, both seniors Francine Whu and Elizabeth Corrao suffered injuries and had to withdraw from the tournament. As a result, their doubles partners Santini and Mical were paired together for the final two days, and they won two matches in Flight B.
The Terriers will next compete at the ITA Regionals, hosted by Yale University, on Oct. 23-26.
