PHILADELPHIA -
Freshmen Vivien Laszloffy and Jessi Linero blanked each of their respective singles opponents to lead the Boston University women's tennis team to a 6-1 victory over Penn Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Terriers (7-7) earn their fifth straight victory, while the Quakers drop to 4-8 on the season.
BU started off by winning two of the three doubles matches and then captured five of the six singles contests for the victory.
Lazloffy helped soophomore Stefanie Nunic defeat Alexa Ely/Aacqueline Wong, 8-2, at No. 1 doubles before sweeping past Jules Rodin, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 3 singles.
Linero posted the same score against Rose Schlecker in the No. 6 contest, while Monika Mical blanked Emma Whitfield at No. 5 in the first set before winning, 6-0, 7-5.
The Terriers will next face No. 28 Princeton on Sunday at 10 a.m.
