After notching three goals this past weekend, including both game-winners, freshman forward Kayla Tutino has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

The Lorraine, Que., native also added two assists during the Terriers’ wins against Connecticut and Providence. She scored a shorthanded goal on Saturday against UConn to break a 2-2 deadlock and secure a 4-2 win. The next afternoon at Providence, she scored BU’s final two goals of the game to clinch a 3-2 win.

Tutino, named Hockey East Player of the Week on Monday, leads all conference rookies and is third among national rookies with nine goals. Her three shorthanded goals are tied for the national lead and she is currently riding a three-game point streak.
