PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Three Terriers recorded two victories each in singles action, as the Boston University women's tennis team continued its fall schedule at the Brown Invitational over the weekend.

Sophomore Leonie-Charlotte Athanasiadis and junior Jessi Linero pulled out two victories before falling in their respective final, while junior Vivien Laszloffy bounched back from a quarterfinal loss to win the consolation bracket with back-to-back wins.

Athanasiadis had one of her best victories to date as a Terrier when she stopped senior Erina Kikuchi, 2-6, 6-3, 1-0(7). Kikuchi ended the 2010-11 season ranked 14th in the region.

The Terriers also participated in doubles, dropping all four matches to Rutgers before splitting four with Binghamton.

As a team, BU will next compete at the ITA Regionals on Oct. 21-25. Before that event though, senior Stefanie Nunic will represent the Terriers at the Riviera All-American Championships, beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 4, in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
