SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Earning its third straight shutout performance, No. 47 Syracuse defeated the Boston University women's tennis team, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon. Avenging last year's 6-1 defeat at BU, the Orange improve to 12-4, while the Terriers drop to 5-8.
Syraucse won two of the three doubles matches and captured all six available singles points for the victory.
Junior Vivien Laszloffy and senior Petra Santini teamed together for BU's lone victory with a 9-7 win at No. 2 doubles.
Competing at the top singles slot, Laszloffy later rallied from a set down to go to a third but eventually fell in a hard fought 6-2, 2-6, 7-5 decision to Emily Harman.
The Terriers will next visit Dartmouth on Saturday, March 31.
