BOSTON - Senior Sofi Laurito scored all three goals, including the game-winner in double overtime, to send BU to the Patriot League championship game with a 3-2 win over Bucknell on Friday at New Balance Field.

The top-seeded Terriers will face second-seeded American for the 2015 Patriot League title on Saturday (Nov. 7) at 2 p.m.

Laurito scored once in the first half and again in the second half before her heroics in the 90th minute sealed a third straight appearance in the Patriot League final for BU. All three goals were unassisted, with her last goal coming after a dazzling display of dribbling into the penalty circle. She went past the diving Bucknell keeper before firing a low shot across the cage and inside the left post.

The top-seeded Terriers (13-6) dominated fourth-seeded Bucknell (8-11) for most of regulation, but the Bison erased a 2-1 deficit late in regulation to send the game to overtime. BU outshot the Bison, 16-4, over the first 70 minutes, and finished with a 5-0 shot advantage in overtime.

The Bison took a 1-0 lead 18:25 into the contest, but Laurito brought BU back to level terms 54 seconds later. After a quick restart following a Bison foul, Laurito sent a shot towards goal that deflected off a defender's foot and past Emily Finn (eight saves).

Less than 10 minutes into the second half, Laurito tallied her second of the game thanks to an incredible individual effort. Retreiving the ball in her own half of the field, She deftly dribbled through the Bucknell defense before sending a pass into the penalty circle. After a Bison defender played the ball out, Laurito quickly gathered it back and ripped a shot over Finn's glove.

Bucknell answered in the 67th minute with a goal off a corner. Hester van der Laan thought she scored the winner with 2:00 remaining, but her goal was disallowed as the referee whistled the Terriers for a foul. BU was then issued a green card as regulation wound down, but the Bison were unable to take advantage before the buzzer sounded.

Both teams earned penalty corners in the first overtime, but neither side broke through. BU nearly had its winner early in the second OT off of a corner, but that goal was waved off by the officials.

Saturday will mark the third straight season in which BU and American will meet in the league final. In fact, the Terriers have faced both American and Bucknell in all three PL tournaments they have competed in.

The Eagles topped the Terriers, 3-0, in the 2013 league title game before BU avenged that loss with a 3-1 triumph over American in last year's semifinals.

Earlier this season, the Terriers registered a 5-3 home victory over the Eagles thanks to a five-point performance (2g, 1a) from Bea Baumberger Altirriba.
