BOSTON - The Boston University field hockey staff is excited to introduce a six-member Class of 2019 that will join the program for the 2015 season.

The impressive group includes three NFHCA All-Americans - two of which won state championships with their respective high school teams - in addition to a player from New Zealand who has U18 and U21 experience, a Connecticut all-state goalkeeper and a versatile player from Pennsylvania who will be reunited with one of her former high school teammates.

"This really is an outstanding recruiting class," said head coach Sally Starr. "It was incredible to see three of their names on the All-America teams. We're excited to welcome another outstanding New Zealand native into the program along with a great player from Pennsylvania and a really talented goalie. This group will complement our current group well and has a lot of speed and skill. Our assistant coaches deserve lots of praise for building this class and we can't wait to have them all on campus."

These six incoming freshmen join a squad that returns 10 of 11 starters from a 2014 season in which the Terriers won 13 games and claimed the Patriot League championship.
