Mary Parker scored her team-leading ninth goal of the season, but the Boston University women's ice hockey team suffered a 4-1 setback at Maine on Saturday afternoon at Alfond Arena.

GOAL-BY-GOAL
- Parker opened the scoring at the 13:11 mark of the first period. Senior Sarah Steele forced a turnover, which led to junior Victoria Bach skating out of the Maine zone and sending an outlet pass to Parker. The speedy forward did the rest, flying past a Maine defender and sending the puck past Carly Jackson (41 saves).
- The Black Bears evened the score just 23 seconds into the second stanza and then took advantage of a power-play chance early in the third period to gain a 2-1 lead.
- Maine then made it 3-1 at the 6:00 mark of the frame before adding another goal at the 8:54 mark to seal the result.
GAME NOTES
- BU and Maine played a penalty-free first period. It was the first time the Terriers went an entire 20-minute period without taking a penalty since March 5, 2016. BU and its opponent had not worked together to stay out of the box since Feb. 27, 2016.
- Parker extended her point streak to four games (3g, 5a) while Bach stretched her point streak to three games (5g, 2a).
- Junior goaltender Erin O'Neil made 28 saves.
- The Terriers had a 6-on-4 advantage during much of their final power play of the game as they pulled O'Neil in favor of an extra attacker, but BU was unable to find a late goal.
- BU finished with 42 shots on goal.
