HOW IT HAPPENED
- On the game's first corner, the Eagles set up a play for Rafaela Rubas on the left side and the sophomore sent a shot past BU goalkeeper Cammy Jensen at the 6:07 mark.
- The Terriers had the vast majority of scoring chances the rest of the way but could not solve goalkeeper Maura Jacobs and the American defense.
- The home team nearly got an equalizer before the half, as junior Grace Boston set up senior Amanda Cassera in front of the goal on a 2-on-1 rush. However, Cassera's shot was stopped by Jacobs.
- BU forced Jacobs to make four saves in the second half, none tougher than one with just over 20 minutes left in regulation.
- Sophomore Allie Doggett sent a shot towards the goal from the right side and the ball was deflected and elevated across the circle, where junior Allie Renzi batted the ball in mid-air towards the top left corner, forcing Jacobs to make an incredible stick save.
- Cassera put back-to-back shots on goal with just over eight minutes left in regulation but Jacobs was up to the task.
- Jensen made two saves in goal for the Terriers before coming out with 3:11 in favor of a kicking back.
- Jacobs finished the day with six saves to pick up her fourth shutout of the season.
