The Boston University women's ice hockey team will begin a home-and-home series with UConn on Friday night at Freitas Ice Forum before returning to Walter Brown Arena on Saturday afternoon. Puck drop on Friday is set for 7 p.m.

BU (10-5-1, 6-5-0 WHEA) is on a five-game win streak and has won 19 of its last 20 games with UConn (8-5-3, 3-2-1 WHEA) dating back to the 2010 Hockey East title game. Including that overtime victory, BU has gone 19-0-1 against UConn, with the one tie coming in Storrs, Connecticut, last season.

Junior Victoria Bach has recorded a point in all six games that she has played against UConn, scoring a goal in five of those contests and entering Friday with eight points (5g, 3a). Senior Samantha Sutherland has tallied two goals and five assists for seven points against the Huskies while senior Maddie Elia (2g, 2a) and junior Rebecca Leslie (4a) each have four points. Senior Sarah Steele (1g, 2a) has three points in her career against the Huskies.

Graduate student Mary Parker was named Hockey East Player of the Month on Thursday after a November to remember. She tallied a point in all nine Terrier games, finishing with 14 total (9g, 5a), and enters Friday on an eight-game goal streak. Parker scored three of the Terriers' seven game-winning goals in November, including the overtime-winner in a 4-3 triumph over Princeton on Nov. 26.

Senior goaltender Victoria Hanson has also been terrific of late for BU. She went 5-0-0 in November, posting a 1.97 goals-against average and a .932 save percentage. Hanson was the only Hockey East netminder to win all of her starts, which included a 2-0 shutout on Nov. 19 and a career-high 41-save victory over Princeton on Nov. 25.

UConn enters this weekend having lost just once in its last seven games. That loss was in its most recent game, a 3-2 decision at Quinnipiac on Saturday. The Huskies' last win came against Maine on Nov. 18 - that was followed by a pair of 1-1 ties.

Junior Leah Lum leads the Huskies with 10 goals and is tied with classmate Theresa Knutson for the team lead with 16 points. Freshman Briana Colangelo leads the team with 10 assists. Junior Annie Belanger has started 13 of the 14 games in which she has appeared, posting a 1.81 goals-against average and a .944 save percentage.

Following its weekend series with UConn, BU will welcome No. 2 Minnesota to Walter Brown Arena for a rematch of the 2013 national title game. That weekend series will begin Friday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m.
