GOAL-BY-GOAL
- After a scoreless first period, sophomore Sammy Davis got BU on the board at the 7:54 mark of the second stanza. Junior Savannah Newton passed the puck across the top of the offensive zone to Alexis Crossley. The senior co-captain fired a shot on goal and Davis was in the perfect position to redirect it past Annie Belanger (28 saves) for her fifth marker of the year.
- Davis helped give BU a 2-0 lead at the 12:11 juncture of the period. Off an offensive-zone faceoff, she got the puck to senior Samantha Sutherland. Sutherland's cross-crease pass landed on junior Nina Rodgers' stick in the left faceoff circle. Rodgers ripped a shot past Belanger for her fourth goal of the season.
- Rodgers factored on the Terriers' third goal of the frame with 2:58 on the clock. She kept the play alive in the UConn zone and eventually sent the puck near the goal mouth for junior Victoria Bach. The puck glanced off Bach's stick and went directly to graduate student Mary Parker at the left post. She found the top shelf for her 16th strike of the season.
- UConn got a goal back just 35 seconds into the final frame thanks to a 5-on-3 goal.
- With the UConn net empty, freshman Deziray De Sousa and Parker combined to feed Bach for the junior's 11th goal of the season.
