Ending the spring break trip to California with its second consecutive one-point win, the Boston University women's tennis team claimed a 4-3 victory at Loyola Marymount on Thursday afternoon.

The Terriers (6-5) won the first two doubles matches against the Lions (4-6) by a combined score of 12-2 and then captured three singles points, including two in three sets, for the team win.

Reigning PL Player of the Week and sophomore Iryna Kostirko teamed with junior Barbara Rodriguez for the 6-2 win at line 2 in doubles. Kostirko then rallied for a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 3 singles, while Rodriguez posted a 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 win in the No. 6 slot.

Freshman Remi Ramos won the other doubles match at line 3 with classmate Sabrina Faybyshev and rolled to a 7-6, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles. With the team result already decided, Faybyshev rallied to force a third set in the No. 4 spot but came up just short, 4-6, 7-6, 10-6. 

BU will next visit No. 74 Brown on Friday, March 18 at 12 p.m.
