OTTAWA, Ontario - Former Boston University women's ice hockey standout Louise Warren helped the Calgary Inferno win the 2016 Clarkson Cup on Sunday night.
Warren, a 2014 graduate, defeated her former teammate, Marie-Philip Poulin ('15), 8-3 in the title game. Poulin, who was named CWHL MVP on Friday night, scored a goal in the title game and finished the postseason second in the league with nine points. Warren was a plus-2 in three playoff games and finished the season with five goals and five assists for 10 points.
This is the second straight season that a Terrier has claimed the Clarkson Cup, as Tara Watchorn ('12) helped guide the Boston Blades to the 2015 championship.
