The No. 10 Boston University women's ice hockey team will conclude a brief two-game road trip on Tuesday when the Terriers travel to Storrs, Connecticut, to face UConn. Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m.

BU (12-7-2, 7-6-1 WHEA) is back in the national poll after going 1-0-1 over its last two games, both against ranked opponents. Most recently, the Terriers tied with No. 6 Boston College, 1-1, on Saturday thanks to a career-high 45 saves from senior goaltender Victoria Hanson. She was named Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts. Junior Nina Rodgers scored the lone BU goal with assists from freshmen Abby Cook and Deziray De Sousa.

The Terriers had their 21-game unbeaten streak (20-0-1) against UConn on Dec. 3 as the Huskies escaped Walter Brown Arena with a 2-1 victory. The previous night, BU earned a 4-1 road win at UConn on the strength of a goal and assist each from Rodgers, junior Victoria Bach, sophomore Sammy Davis and graduate student Mary Parker.

Bach is back with the Terriers after missing Saturday's game while on duty with Team Canada. She won a silver medal along with former teammate Sarah Lefort ('16) at the 2017 Nations Cup. Bach is tied with Parker (17g, 9a) for the team lead in points with 26 thanks to 12 goals and 14 assists. She has had particular success against the Huskies, notching six goals and adding four assists in her career against UConn.

Points are at a premium for the Terriers as they fight for one of the four home-ice spots in the league postseason. BU is currently tied for third with Vermont and New Hampshire at 15 points while UConn lurks in sixth with 11 points. BU has the unique chance to not travel at all for the Hockey East Tournament, as the Terriers will host the semifinals and championship game at Walter Brown Arena.

UConn (10-8-3, 5-5-1 WHEA) enters Tuesday's tilt having split a home-and-home series with Merrimack this past Friday and Saturday. The Huskies lost the second game of that pair, falling on the road by a 3-2 score after winning 3-2 the previous evening. Junior Leah Lum leads UConn in both goals (11) and points (18) while classmate Theresa Knutson (8g, 9a) and the team's assist leader, freshman Briana Colangelo (6g, 11a), are both tied for second on the squad with 17 points.

Junior goaltender Annie Belanger has started 17 of the 18 games in which she has appeared this season for the Huskies, posting a 1.92 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage. She allowed five goals in two games against BU in December, making 28 saves in each contest.

BU will return home this weekend for a two-game series with Vermont that begins Saturday afternoon at Walter Brown Arena (3 p.m.).
