The Boston University women's ice hockey team will travel outside of Boston for the first time this season when the Terriers face Maine on Friday afternoon at Alfond Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The Terriers are in search of their first win of the season after then-No. 8 Northeastern swept them in a home-and-home series on Oct. 6 and 7.
HISTORY WITH MAINE
- The Terriers are 26-8-2 all-time against the Black Bears, including a 12-5-0 record at Alfond Arena.
- BU and Maine split a two-game set in Orono last season, with the Terriers earning a 5-3 win before losing the second contest, 4-1.
- The Terriers have won at least one game each year against the Black Bears.

- Victoria Bach has tallied 13 points (7g, 6a) against the Huskies in her three-year career.
- Rebecca Leslie has notched a team-best eight assists against Maine in addition to her four goals against the Black Bears for 12 total points.
- Seven other Terriers have recorded at least one point against NU, including multi-point scorers Nina Rodgers (3a) and Savannah Newton (2a).
- Erin O'Neil is 3-2-0 in five starts against the Black Bears with an .891 save percentage.
SCOUTING THE BLACK BEARS
- Maine enters the weekend with a 4-2-0 record, with all four wins coming over the team's last five games.
- Maine recently split a home series with then-No. 10 Robert Morris, dropping a 2-1 decision on Oct. 13 before skating to a 5-2 win the next day.
- Friday's fixture will be the first league contest of the year for Maine.
- Sophomore Tereza Vanisova leads the Black Bears in both points (10) and assists (7).Â
- Vanisova and senior Brooke Stacey each lead Maine with three goals apiece.
- Sophomore goaltender Carly Jackson is 3-2-0 in five starts for Maine but owns an impressive 1.81 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage.

- BU dispatched the Black Bears, 5-0, on Feb. 19 at Walter Brown Arena.
- It was the regular-season finale for both clubs.
- Rebecca Leslie notched two goals and added an assist for a three-point day.
- Both Victoria Bach and Nina Rodgers (2a) tallied multiple points while Savannah Newton recorded an assist.
- Leslie put BU ahead for good at the 9:01 mark of the first frame.
- Three of the Terriers' five goals came via the power play.
ONE TEAM HAS ALL THAT POWER
- The Terriers boast the top power play in the nation, clicking at 33.3% through their first three games.
- BU has scored three power play goals in nine chances this season, including a perfect 2-of-2 performance on Oct. 6 against Northeastern.
- Maine will offer a stern test for the Terrier power play, as the Black Bears are fifth in the nation with a success rate of 91.3% (21-of-23) on the penalty kill.
- The Black Bears have killed off each of the last 12 power plays they have faced.
