Four current and former members of the Boston University field hockey team have been invited by USA Field Hockey to take part in the 2017 Young Women's National Championship, to be held June 12-16 at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex in Lancaster, Pa.

Taylor Blood from the Class of 2017 will be joined by rising senior Grace Boston, rising junior Ally Hammel and rising sophomore Kiley Gallagher at the event, which will serve as a selection opportunity for the 2017-18 U.S. U-21 Women's National Team, the U.S. Women's National Development Squad and the U.S. Women's National Team. In addition, BU assistant coach Tracey Paul will serve as a coach at the tournament.

Hammel is a repeat selection, having competed at the 2016 tournament, while Boston, Blood and Gallagher will be making their debuts. BU's four invitees marked the most of any team from New England.
