BOSTON - Returning to Patriot League play following its second straight heart-stopping finish, the Boston University women's soccer team will head to Loyola Maryland on Saturday, Oct. 13 for a 1 p.m. matchup at the Ridley Athletic Complex.
Terrier Tidbits
- Lauren Adelman provided the game-winning goal to guide the Terriers past Harvard, 2-1, in overtime.
- It marked the second straight game a freshman has netted the game-winning goal, as Taylor Kofton struck in the 88th minute to lead BU to a 1-0 shutout against Navy last Friday.
- Kofton was named the Patriot League Midfielder of the Week, while McKenna Kennedy earned Defensive Player of the Week honors for last week's efforts against the Mids.
- Kennedy aided the backline to surrender just four shots to the Mids, including one in the first half.
- Anna Heilferty leads the team in goals (5), assists (4) and points (14).
- Heilferty has already surpassed her point total from her PL Rookie of the Year campaign, matching in goals while surpassing assists and points by one apiece.
- This will be BU's first true road game since Sept. 16, as it has played its last five games in Massachusetts.
- Head coach Nancy Feldman, the only coach in the program's 24-year history, has posted a 303-150-46 (.653) mark during her tenure at BU and owns a 395-168-55 (.683) career record.
- BU has gone unbeaten in 46 straight home conference games, which is the longest active streak in the NCAA.
- The Greyhounds have dropped their last three PL contests by a final score of 1-0, with its most recent loss coming Saturday at Holy Cross.
- Loyola has picked up four of its five wins on its home turf.
- Hannah Hoefs leads the team in goals (4), assists (2) and points (10).
- Jourdan Ziff and Sarah Bayer also have scored multiple goals, as Ziff owns three and Bayer has two.
- Sumer Rahe has played nearly every minute in net and has started all 13 games, posting a 1.20 goals against average and .660 save percentage.
- BU holds a 6-1-1 command in the all-time series and has taken the last five matchups.
- Four of eight contests have been one-goal decisions.
- BU will return home to host Army West Point on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.
- Wednesday will serve as a Faculty & Staff Appreciation game, which will include a free ticket and a free pre-game dinner reception for BU faculty and staff members.
