ALLSTON, Mass. – After losing a tightly-contested doubles point and the first two singles matches, the Boston University women's tennis team rallied for a thrilling 4-3 win at Harvard on Saturday afternoon. The win marked the Terriers' first over the Crimson since an identical 4-3 win in 2009.

MATCH NOTES

• Both teams won a doubles match with an identical score of 6-2 before Harvard edged senior Iryna Kostirko and freshman Emily Kim, 7-6(3), for the first point in the No. 2 slot.
• Five of the six singles matches went straight sets with the other finishing early due to freshman Emily Kim retiring up 3-2 at line 3.
• Facing a 3-0 deficit, freshman Katya Martens started the comeback with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 6 to remain a perfect 3-0 in the dual season.
• After posting a 6-2 victory at No. 1 doubles, both junior Remi Ramos (#2) and freshman Lily Burchell (#4) won in straight sets in their respective singles match.
• Kostirko claimed the final point with a 7-6(4), 6-4 victory at the top slot against Annika Ringblom.
• BU posted a 4-3 win against the Crimson to snap an eight-match losing streak in the series, including last year's 6-1 defeat.
• The Terriers also snapped an 18-match losing streak to the Ivy League with the last win occurring at Brown (4-3) in 2013.
