WINCHESTER, Mass. – After dropping the doubles point, the four-time defending Patriot League champion Boston University women's tennis team put on a strong performance in singles action to claim a 5-2 victory over Navy on Sunday morning.

MATCH NOTES

• After dropping the doubles point, the Terriers won the top five singles matches in straight sets to claim the victory over Navy.
• Freshman Katya Martens teamed with classmate Dani Blaser for a 6-4 win at line 2 in doubles and then improved to a perfect 4-0 this dual season with a 7-5, 6-2 victory in the No. 5 slot.
• Freshman Emily Kim dropped the fewest games (4) with a 6-0, 6-4 victory at line 3.
• Both senior Iryna Kostirko (#1) and junior Remi Ramos (#2) only lost five games apiece, while freshman Lily Burchell (#4) won 12 of 18 of games.
• This was the first meeting between the two programs since BU's 4-2 win at Navy in the 2017 Patriot League semifinals.
