BOSTON – Looking to carry momentum from a thrilling come-from-behind 3-2 win over UMass, the Boston University men's soccer team will open a three-game road trip against Ivy League competition with a visit to preseason favorite Dartmouth on Tuesday afternoon. The ESPN+ broadcast will begin at 5 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS
  • Dartmouth marks the second consecutive opponent for BU to be coming off an NCAA berth following the Minutemen.
  • Through four games, BU's offense has been either feast or famine with three goals against both UMass (3-2) and Boston College (3-3) and then 2-0 shutouts to UMass Lowell and Rhode Island.
  • Junior Matt McDonnell has combined for five of the goals after totaling seven total through his first 34 appearances as a Terrier.
  • McDonnell recorded both equalizers against UMass in the second half on Friday before freshman Kari Petursson delivered the game winner from 25 yards out during the 85th minute.
  • A fellow native of Iceland alongside Petursson, sophomore Toti Knutsson leads the team in assists with three total.
  • Sophomore William Bonnelyche has started the last three games at net, combining for eight saves.
SCOUTING DARTMOUTH
  • Four-time defending Ivy League champion Dartmouth is seeking its first goal of the season after suffering shutout defeats on the road to then-No. 6 Indiana (3-0), No. 24 Notre Dame (2-0) and most recently UConn (1-0).
  • Dartmouth went 12-3-2 last season and was eliminated by New Hampshire in the opening round of the NCAA tournament on penalty kicks.
  • The Big Green are riding a 10-game unbeaten streak (9-0-1) at home dating back to October 2016.
  • Eduvie Ikoba is the leading returning scorer for Dartmouth with 19 points (8g,3a) ... Both Justin Donawa (14p) and Dawson McCartney (12p) had eight assists apiece.

SERIES HISTORY
  • The Terriers lead the all-time series dating back to 1950, 5-4-3, and are riding a six-game unbeaten streak.
  • The teams took a lengthy break between 1953-1997 and have split a pair of NCAA tournament contests with Dartmouth winning in 1997 and the Terriers prevailing in 2004.
  • BU won the last meeting, 1-0, at home in 2016 off a golden goal from Felix De Bona ('16) in the first overtime following a 3-1 road victory in 2014.
