TERRIER TIDBITS
  • BU won that last game over the Black Knights 2-1, thanks to two first-half scores from junior Geovanna Pereira. Forward Abigail McNulty has two assists on the evening as well.
  • Last Friday, the Patriot League announced its postseason awards. After being named Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, senior Jenna Oldham wound up earning the Defensive Player of the Year honor. Head Coach Nancy Feldman was picked as the Coach of the Year, her 12th Coach of the Year award in her tenure.
  • Eight Terriers found spots on All-Patriot League teams. Oldham and McNulty were named to the First Team. Junior Julianna Stureman and sophomore Lily Matthews garnered Second Team accolades. Seniors Amy Thompson and Elle Conlin, and juniors Ashley Buck and Pereira were selected for the Third Team.
  • On Tuesday, Stureman was named to the Academic All-League Team, one of 11 Patriot League student-athletes to be selected for the honor.
  • The Terriers enter the Patriot League Tournament on an eight-match unbeaten streak. During that stretch, they've outscored opponents 14-5, and recorded four shutouts.
  • Oldham's four goals and seven assists paced BU offensively in the regular season.
  • In net, junior Gretchen Bennett and freshman Celia Braun have teamed up to record a 0.74 goals-against average and allow just seven goals in league play, the fewest of any remaining team in the postseason.
  • This year marks a return to the traditional Patriot League Tournament format after last season's divisional matchups in the spring. The Terriers aim for their first postseason win since they captured the league crown in 2018.
  • BU is 9-3-1 all-time in the Patriot League Tournament, having won the league championship in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2018. In total, the Terriers have made it to the championship game five times in their first eight seasons in the league, with 2021 marking the ninth.
SCOUTING THE BLACK KNIGHTS
  • Army dispatched Loyola 2-1 in the quarterfinals down in Baltimore thanks to Jasmine Talley's strike just 1:11 into overtime. Trinity Garay started the scoring in the 54th minute.
  • Garay (six goals, 13 points) and Talley (four goals, 11 points) are the Black Knights' top point producers. Sage Strohman has totaled a .757 save percentage and 1.23 goals-against average between the posts.
  • Lauren Drysdale and Emma Richey were selected to the All-Patriot League Second and Third Team, respectively.
  • Army is just 2-5-2 away from home this year.
SERIES HISTORY
  • BU and Army meet for the 12th time in the rivalry, with the Terriers sporting an 8-1-2 advantage.

  • The only postseason meeting between the two programs came in the semifinals on Nov. 2, 2018. Shannon Keefe potted two goals, Taylor Kofton had two assists, and Morgan Messner registered a four-save shutout.
