TERRIER TIDBITS
  • BU enters Wednesday on a three-game win steak after a weekend sweep of Merrimack.
  • The Terriers have gone 40-for-42 (.952) on the penalty kill over the last 11 games, including a 19-for-19 stretch that ended with a 5-on-3 goal by BC in the third period of the Terriers' Nov. 21 win.
  • BU has allowed just five power-play goals all year, going 49-for-54 (90.7%).
  • Excluding last season, which started in December, BU is 9-0-0 since the 2018-19 season between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  • Senior Courtney Correia leads the squad with 18 points thanks to eight assists and a team-best 10 goals.
  • She scored a goal in both games this past weekend, including the tying goal on Friday to force overtime.
  • All three of her goals during her current three-game point streak have come in the third period, and six of her 10 goals this year have been on the road.
  • Sophomore Lacey Martin became the 20th different BU skater to record a point this season when she tallied two assists in the 4-1 win over Merrimack on Saturday.
  • Freshman Callie Shanahan has won her last two starts, earning victories over Boston College and Merrimack.
  • She made over 30 saves in both wins.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS

  • Yale, nationally ranked for the first time in program history, enters Wednesday with a 9-3-1 record.
  • That includes three wins over ranked opponents, while two of their losses have been to Quinnipiac, currently No. 4 in both national polls.
  • The Bulldogs haven't played since earning a 4-1 win over Sacred Heart on Nov. 27.
  • Junior Claire Dalton (7g, 15a) and sophomore Elle Hartje (6g, 16a) are tied for the team lead with 22 points.
  • Hartje also leads Yale with 16 assists.
  • Junior Emma Seitz has scored a team-best nine goals this season.
  • Seitz has scored a goal in seven straight games.
  • Senior Gianna Meloni has started eight of the 10 games in which she has appeared, earning three shutouts in the process.
  • She leads Yale with a .942 save percentage and a 1.43 goals-against average.
  • Freshman Pia Dukaric has started seven of the five games in which she has appeared, including the 4-1 win over Sacred Heart.
  • She owns a .913 save percentage and a 1.66 goals-against average.

HISTORY WITH THE BULLDOGS

  • BU is 5-1-1 all-time against Yale, only losing the first-ever matchup between the two programs on Nov. 25, 2008 in New Haven.
  • The Terriers are 1-1-1 at Ingalls Rink.
  • BU defeated Yale, 5-2, in the Terriers' last trip to New Haven on Dec. 7, 2017.
  • Victoria Bach ('18) scored four goals in that contest, the last time a Terrier tallied four goals in a single game.
UP NEXT
  • BU will be off until Jan. 1 and 2 when the Terriers travel to Pittsburgh, Pa., for the Battle at the 'Burgh tournament.
  • The Terriers will open the event against Syracuse on New Year's Day before facing either Penn State or St. Cloud State the next day.
