BOSTON - The Boston University women's ice hockey team will close out the first half when it hosts Holy Cross on Friday (Dec. 9) in the final Hockey East women's contest of the calendar year. The teams will meet again in exactly four weeks at Frozen Fenway.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers enter the weekend looking to shake a four-game skid, most recently falling to Maine twice last weekend.
- Senior Julia Nearis ranks first on the Terriers in points (15) and goals (7) and is tied with junior Lacey Martin for the team lead in assists with eight.
- Nearis has at least one point in eight of the past 13 games with 12 points (6g, 6a) during the stretch.
- Senior Nadia Mattivi and junior Catherine Foulem each have eight points on three goals and five assists.
- Graduate student Andrea Brändli ranks ninth in the nation in save percentage (.942) and 17th in goals-against average (1.92).

- Holy Cross enters Friday's contest on a 12-game losing streak but is coming off a competitive home-and-home weekend against Boston College.
- The Crusaders fell in overtime at home, 2-1, on Friday before a 4-2 loss at BC on Saturday.
- Holy Cross has posted wins against Vermont and Union.
- Junior Bryn Saarela has a team-high nine points (4g, 5a) while senior Mary Edmonds has added seven points (4g, 3a).
- Senior Sofia Smithson (3g, 3a) and junior Millie Sirum (1g, 5a) have chipped in six points apeice.
- Sophomore Emma Min is tied for fourth among Hockey East players in blocked shots with 30.
- Junior Madison Beck has been the team's primary goatender this season and currently has a 2.70 goals-against average and a .922 save percentage.
